Latest Creations!

Since my last blog, I've been quite busy...in fact, I don't even know where to start!  So, I will split this actually into 2 blogs, one with crafts and one with what I've been doing in the kitchen!

Sewing and Crafts

When I last left off, I was working on my daughter's college blanket.  She wanted Angelo State's School colors, but I decided to also add the mascot, but I really didn't think that through, and didn't realize it until I got started.  Here's the finished product, we used fleece for the blanket and a various array of  other crap for the mascot.

After that, I started working on a blanket for my nephew.  I combined my Domo pattern that I'd used previously for Josh's pillow (which is really Jodie's) I just had to shrink it down and the techniques that I used on Sarah's blanket, her it is "in progress."

From the blankets, I started to work on something completely different.  A friend of mine has been making Duck Tape bags, so I decided to try it!  It's addicting!  With just a few rolls of Duck Tape your creating some neat stuff, and it will hold a truck together, so you know it's good!  I made two bags and a matching wallet.  You can easily find out how to do this on the internet, but it still takes some practice....it's kind of like pancakes...the first one doesn't really look too good!

My latest and most fun project has been tu-tus!  I know, you all probably think that I'm nuts-nuts, and I probably am, but this has been fun and super easy.  The tulle was on sale at JoAnn's for .75 cents a yard, if it's not on sale, wait, because it takes about 6 yards a tutu.  I ended up buying 30 yards at one cutting.  The lady at the cutting table really didn't like me much.  Also, keep in mind that the tulle is much brighter on the bolt than it really is.  I'm adding a picture of the cut tulle and then what it looks like made up.

I've made a total of 6 tutus now, and made the sweetest little baby one, I'm loving these.

If you'd like more info.instructions on how to make any of these, let me know and I can walk you through the process.

Check out my next blog to see what's been going on in the kitchen!
